TDK-Y wants to encourage and equip you to share the gospel effectively! While we STRONGLY encourage group evangelism {especially with teens} we do know that there are pros and cons to this topic. So without further-ado {I don't even know if I spelled that correctly} here are our thoughts on Group Evangelism:

Here at TDK we want to amplify SAFETY. Being a teen myself I understand when you say your parents are being overprotective. But, honestly they just care about you a lot. And we do too. So if you're a teen then please share the gospel with a group. Honestly it can be more fun with friends too! When you go out in a group make sure to have at least these four people with you {from the book G3, Pastor Greg Laurie}:

The Machine: This person is crazy bold and will go out of their way to talk to anybody and everybody.

The Wise: This person knows all the facts and the truth. Plus this person knows not to go in dark alleys.

The Muscles: As lame as that sounds you need someone there who can protect y'all and provide safety in case of an emergency.

The Prayer Warrior: This person is praying when this person's friends are in a conversation.

Now imagine getting approached by a bunch of people who are trying tell you about something you don't believe in, while you're out and about. That might be pretty scary/weird right? So when you're with your friends don't try and crowd around the person. Don't try to force them to stay and listen to you.

Instead try this:

You hand out a tract. You and the person who took it start a conversation. A great way to introduce your friends instead of all just crowding around that person is this {quoted from Sarah Alijian}:

"My friends and I would love to answer any of your questions." Boom. Done. Simple and easy. That way you don't look frightening. One thing we do want to mention is this:

Boys hand out tracts to boys. Girls hand out tracts to girls. We also suggest you don't travel in groups of two: boy and girl. You don't want any dating mishaps! A great group idea is: 1 boy and 2 girls. Or 2 boys and 1 girl.

Hope this helped you! If you have any questions or prayer requests feel free to contact us! Have a blessed day!
